Mrs. Hedstrom Beblow, district school psychologist, gave a presentation to our teachers about the role and importance of executive functioning skills in our learners.  Executive functioning skills are "the ability to organize cognitive processes. This includes the ability to plan ahead, prioritize, stop and start activities, shift from one activity to another activity, and to monitor one's own behaviour."  Our teachers deepened their understanding and explored strategies and supports they could use in their classrooms to help develop these skills in our students.
