Chief Tomat Elementary is a K-5 school in the Westside family of schools within the Central Okanagan Public Schools. We have 313 students and 14 classes. The diversity of our students and community is our strength, where we learn from and alongside one another. The mascot of CTE is the wolverine and as CTE Wolverines we "take care of ourselves, others and the land." At CTE, we are "Caring Together Everyday". We pride ourselves on being "welcoming wolverines" with a caring staff dedicated to making a difference for children.
As a school, we have the following learning priorities:
1. All students will grow in their reading skills and read at grade level.
2. All students will learn the skills to take care of themselves, others and the land.
3. All student will see themselves as writers and grow in their ability to communicate clearly.
